01 / Inside the engagement
Situation
Factory engineering teams needed to use current machine data and tell whether the streaming path was healthy. The existing machine-data platform needed documented health monitoring and a consolidated operating view.
Context
- Machine signals
- Existing stream
- Live dashboard
UTIS contribution
- Machine onboarding
- Shared health monitoring
- Self-service access
Simplified workflow. The case text describes the contribution, delivery stage and evidence.

02 / Inside the engagement
What UTIS did
- Operated and extended the existing streaming path (Azure Event Hubs, Telegraf, InfluxDB, Grafana), including onboarding new machines in two to three working days each.
- Rebuilt pipeline-health monitoring on Prometheus, with every component on one real-time dashboard the operating team can read.
- Opened self-service querying so engineers and stakeholders analyze the data directly, with requests handled through ServiceNow.
03 / Inside the engagement
Results
- 100% of the existing streaming path’s components visible on one health dashboard.
- New machines onboarded in two to three working days each, with self-service access available for engineers and stakeholders.
- ~5 seconds from sensor to dashboard on the existing live platform; reported as operating context, not a UTIS-created speed improvement.
Why it matters to you
Teams need to know whether a live data path is healthy and how to use it. Consolidated monitoring, documented ownership and self-service access make an existing streaming platform easier to operate and extend.
Stack
Evidence basis: existing-platform latency measurement and documented monitoring, onboarding and access work. The ~5-second latency is platform context, not a UTIS-created speed improvement.
