Engineering expertise / Power BI Consulting
Reporting your team can understand and trust.
UTIS helps teams turn operational data into Power BI reports that people can understand and use. We work on the data model, business definitions, refresh dependencies and report experience together. Our delivery approach connects each measure to its source and validates results with the people responsible for the business process.

Definitions and calculation notes
All 144 fictional items are completed work. Stage time includes work and waiting, and is measured in elapsed days. Cycle time is the sum of the four stages. Averages are calculated from the filtered items; the median is the middle cycle time. A reworked item records two visits to Preparation and Review, with its total stage time already included. Filters use the completion month.

What should your reporting help people decide?
Bring the business question. We can discuss the data, definitions and Power BI experience needed to answer it.
Your priorities
Problems we help solve
These are common reasons to bring UTIS into the work.
The same metric produces different answers.
Definitions, date logic, filters and joins need to be agreed before a dashboard can be trusted.
A polished report still depends on unreliable data.
Late loads, duplicate records and inconsistent source logic can undermine the dashboard.
The report is hard to use or maintain.
Users need clear navigation and useful detail; the team needs understandable models and a repeatable change process.

Before we start
Frequently asked questions
What to expect when you work with UTIS.
What Power BI work has UTIS delivered?
A national title-insurance company confirms Power BI analytics, dashboards, data integrations and business reporting delivered with UTIS. The related case explains the contribution and validation without exposing customer data.
Can you fix the data behind an existing dashboard?
Yes. We can start with SQL Server queries, SSIS processing, model relationships or refresh behavior instead of replacing a report that already works for its users.
Can our users help shape the report?
Yes. We use business definitions and review of working views to agree what the report needs to show. Source data, access and acceptance criteria are scoped with your team.
Are the interactive demos live Power BI reports?
The three demos on this page are original browser prototypes with entirely fictional data. They demonstrate filtering, drill-down, metric definitions and scenario exploration. They do not connect to Power BI or contain client data. Actual client delivery is described separately in the case studies.
