01 / Inside the engagement
Situation
Leaders needed a clearer view of customer activity and the relationships that warranted follow-up. The challenge was to make the definitions, source data and dashboard behavior agree, so a useful-looking report could also stand up to questions.
Context
- Business definitions

02 / Inside the engagement
What UTIS did
- Worked with business stakeholders on report definitions, filters and priorities before developing the Power BI reports.
- Connected SQL Server and SSIS data preparation with Power BI models and measures, so the reporting logic could be reviewed across the data flow.
- Refined reports through customer feedback and SQL-to-dashboard comparisons, including date behavior, labels and drill-down views.
- Built a prioritized outreach view and supplied independent SQL checks that reconstruct selected measures from source records.

Results
- The client confirmed publication of Power BI reports and deployment of the updated outreach dashboard.
- Business stakeholders received reporting and source-data checks they could use together when reviewing the results.
- A later client reference confirmed that the Power BI analytics, integrations and business metrics were used to manage the business.
Why it matters to you
A dashboard becomes more useful when people understand its definitions, can investigate a change and can verify the underlying calculation. That is the connection between report design and data engineering.
Stack
Evidence basis: client messages confirm report publication and describe business use. The work record includes SQL validation and review. No refresh-speed, customer-retention, revenue or completed AI-automation result is claimed.
